reality bites.

"Reality Bites" is a movie made in 1994. Jeremy and I just watched it and this is NOT a recommendation to go out and watch it yourself. Ethan Hawke's character was potentially the single most annoying person I have ever watched on screen. Not only the things he said and his goatee, but also the wispy wimpy little voice he said everything "emotional" in. Gross! But, some of the clothes were pretty great and the soundtrack was pure 90s gold. Winona Ryder really turns my crank and she was pretty decked out in all her 90s glory. I especially dug this one scene where she was using her daddy's gas card to get cash to pay rent and buy stoner munchies. She was wearing some kickass jeans, 90s lipstick, sunglasses and t-shirt sans bra.

Pamela Love makes the coolest jewelry. I love the scientific element to the designs and how delicate and intricate the pieces are. She really does beautiful work.

This is a shoot from the October Vogue of Carey Mulligan in some BEAUTIFUL couture dresses. I don't know why I find it so delightul, but it really caught my eye. I think it is a combo between her adorable face and that fantastic hat. I wasn't a big fan of the movie "An Education" that got so much hype (even though the clothes were unreal), but I think she is really cute and I look forward to seeing her in more movies, especially the remake of "My Fair Lady"! Apparently everybody and their dog wanted the role, but they wanted her. I hope she pulls it off. No pressure... just have to live up to Audrey Hepburn!

i may not always love you.

It seems like forever ago considering the rate that I usually plow through shows I like, but in the spring I started watching Big Love. Today I watched the last episode of season 4. Luckily they have been given another season which I will just have to wait for because I have not gotten my fill yet. I especially loved the style Nicki (played by Chloe Sevigny) sported. Conservative, but super cute, although she became less conservative near the end. Her acting may have left something to be desired, but I loved every minute of it. I think that Dakota Fanning is looking absolutely amazing in this August's Flare magazine. I was super impressed with her in 'The Runaways' because I still kind of thought of her as being a child actor. Apparently she is grown up though... and gorgeous!

There are casting calls for Mad Men online and people post a picture and then it is a vote. This lovely lady, who's blog I follow, is in the running. But, so many of the people who were beating her in the votes are really lame!! So I thought I'd post her sweet look up here and get a few friends to vote for her. Sometimes I try to not be the hugest dork in the world, but I can't help but announce my excitement to the world that Harry Potter is coming out in NOVEMBER!!!! I'm so excited! And best of all I will be back in Canada and Eva and I are planning a Potter date. I haven't watched a Potter movie for the first time with Eva since we were in Montreal. Eeks!!!

In other news, I'm super happy that Emma Watson busted out of the Harry Potter scene too. I think she is adorable. These pics are from a TeenVogue shoot and I think they are very pretty. She has also become the face of Burberry and is starting her own clothes line. Nice work. Sometimes when you start your career being such a distinctive character it is hard to be seen as anything else, but she seems to have made it work. Sweet beans!!
